Yeah but I "earned" my right to scab by taking a marginally more difficult qual test than the group after me.

I see /r/mturk get a lot of hate here. Is it really that bad over there?

 

You get downvoted for telling people not to work for $4/hr and posting about your earnings if you've earned >$60/day.

 

No, reddit is where every new body filters in from. The folks who get a hang of mturk bounce, come here/other forums, and eventually even leave here to go about their business when they get really good at Turking.

But because ALL the newbies filter in from there.. it leaves some very low hanging fruit to target practice on for people wanting to snipe. A lot more accessible than facebook, which is hand's down worse.

How did you find this site? Even I came from /r/mturk once upon a time

 

I was googling for mturk tips and tricks. I had no one to help me and I had no idea what I was doing so I was trying to research on my own.

 

Facebook is still far worse than /r/mturk.

 

can we do something about the shitshow that happens anytime a requester posts on the forum saying they have work?

 

I never even heard of /r/mturk till I came here, a friend pointed me in this direction and recommended the forums. For whatever reason I never even thought of looking for a subreddit even though I have been a redditer lol.

 

Haha thinking about it now, when I lost my job and was filling out crap survey's on other sites for scraps. I mentioned it in a conversation and she pointed me to here and said "good luck"

 

Who sent you to be sacrificed? we need to know who to eat next.
