That's just a spinoff and I didn't actually watch more than a few episodes of it. I mean, Lord El-Melloi is a spinoff too, but I seriously don't recommend starting Fate/Zero while being unfamiliar with Fate/stay Night. I'd toss in reading Fate/hollow Ataraxia too, but that's not as necessary for Fate/Zero.
