    I believe they are working on updates (from what I've read) but the cost to them of the wildfires and loss of life/home is huge. They're on the hook for the Paradise fire last year, last I heard.

    This is a thing? When a hurricane comes through here in LA it literally wrecks our power infrastructure for weeks. You would think with us losing electric poles/lines often they would be top of the line/modern since they are being replaced...nope. Our local power company just got bought out like 3 years ago by some bigger corp but they have done nothing to help.

    Very long convoluted story but yes, they are responsible for damages due to their power lines not being maintained. Not for "acts of god" (like, say, an earthquake happened and started fires no infrastructure will hold up to that...)

    Thr trick is to stuff 8 people and all their crap into one suburban. Well, it was actually 10 people's crap and 6-8 people, because we picked up 2 dudes from one airport and then 2 more from another. :emoji_joy:
