It does not. I am one of those who gets a little bit sick from the shot but I can tell you it is about 5% of what the actual flu feels like.

I'm about 99% sure there is no possible way the flu shot can give you the flu! My body's reaction is just its overreaction to making whatever it needs to make to help me be less susceptible to catching the flu.

Wait what? In CA there are many places to get it for free! or just $10.

It's free through my insurance. But I'd fork out the $10 per shot if I had to. Fighting the flu costs way more. And can actually, you know, kill you.

First time seeing that specific one, but quite a few people at my old forum had a lot of complaints/concerns about TV/TH - with a couple notable exceptions, it seems mostly unfounded so far lol

 

Ah, well I also do not like needles at all and I've had the flu once in about 15 years so at this point it's not something I think I need to do.

 

If this implies jealousy in any way, let me disabuse you of that.

My premiums are over 1K per month for this privilege.

If it didn't then...my bad.

I have private insurance I won't give up because my only option for the kid is MediCal and I won't do that.

I think I'm running out of steam.

 

So far saying CT just shrugs at any problem is hits pretty close to home!

 

Cheapest you can get here is $35 without insurance (*raises hand* That's me!) and for that, I'll most certainly risk my health.

I don't have any doubts on its efficacy, I just like to live life in the fast lane and throw the dice on my personal health.

Worst case scenario, I die, in which case my student loans are forgiven so I'm still like $28k ahead. Win/win.

 

Are you afraid of a runny nose for a day? I don't get it because I would have to actually go outside and I don't work with children.

If I had an office job I would get it though.

 

Do you have a Costco near you? Usually they have them for 20$ and you don't have to be a member to use the pharmacy services.

 

You bring me these people so they can be re-educated. We have a camp now. It's great. Lots of activities. No only a little torture.

 

Nearly 1:30 to the nearest Costco... any savings would be wiped out by the drive lol
