    Lol in my mind, if you have a PC that's less than 8 years old, you have 8Gb. not spending the extra $30 to go to 8Gb is just stupid.

    But I'm mostly talking in terms of value benefit. IF you're not looking to spend 80+ dollars, you can get ram that is perfectly fine, will run what you need and more without going duel channel for that extra benefit since most people agree you don't really need 16GB for most uses, even gaming uses. 8 GB of Single channel ram is quality and will do what you need it to do.

    If you're only gonna have 8Gb (which is fine if you're gaming on a budget), it won't cost more to go dual channel (it's like $35) and you'll have a better experience than 8 single channel.

    Just randomly popping in without knowing much context (so apologies if this isn't relevant) to say that once you introduce turking and multiple monitors, 16 gb becomes much more needed.

    Does multi monitor eat ram? I would have thought it ate a bit of CPU/GPU but had no noticeable effect on ram. And yes, it's better to go 16Gb, but if the PC is only to game, 8Gb is fine.

    That's fair, I was doing quick googling so I didn't delve into prices you could find, if they are the same cost sure, but if not the duel channel doesn't give the boost in everyday use that people claim.

    I would assume it does if only because you're likely to use more processes at once? Like have the every leaking chrome open at all times on your other monitor.

    I'd expect a good ROI.. We got charged $1,200 for "BLOOD" .. no clue what that means, but she has more blood now than when she started so surely we could get $2k back for that right? @Tracy Wethington can I borrow your expertise in selling children?

    The monitors by themselves do not, no. But the fact you have more screen real estate naturally means you will have more active programs open at once

    I went 2 years ago and I can never go back. If anything I just constantly have like Parks and Rec on my other screen at all times at the very least.
