On the topic of actors, I'm watching The Fifth Element right now via streaming Google Play to my TV. Whenever a new character appears, the app on my phone lists the actor, who you can then tap to see what other movies they're in. This is something I with Netflix/Hulu/HBO Go had.

@ChrisTurk or anyone else with a Pi: tried the 3rd gen ones yet? I have a second gen that I'm using for MiniDLNA and not much else. Works fine, just wondering if anyone has seen any real-world improvements.
