It's really infuriating to see that. It's hard enough to find work on here and grind it out fairly. Knowing so many people are snagging hits and gaming the system makes it even harder to take. SIGH.

 

So, in one twitter reply to this someone said a bot figured out screening criteria. I'm assuming they mean in the survey itself. Maybe put some quals on surveys to cut down on bots being able to auto accept? Wouldn't that help?

And this sucks. People gaming the system will put us all out of jobs here.

 

This explains so much. I'll e expecting my email any day now.

OTOH, MTurk has actually been stepping up pretty well in tackling the problem instead of just being a doormat which means things will start to get easier for people who aren't being morons.

That person just has no clue what they're talking about because they don't understand the difference between non-native English speakers who are capable enough to [redacted] and actual "bots" (as vague a term as that already is).
