Got chewed out all the way to the tournament, but he's still awesome (his phone has almost no charge, so might be difficult to reach me when it's time to come home. He did get a high five when he proved he has my number memorized so he can use someone else's phone if he has to, lol.)

 

Raising children is easy. The other option? Not so much.

I have been telling my kid since he was old enough to understand English, "You may not understand the decisions I am making. But tough. I am NOT RAISING A CHILD. I'm raising a future adult male, future father, and future husband. And I want you to be good at all three of those, so all my decisions are based with those goals in mind. You'll understand if I do my job right."

I got about 10 more years before I know if I did my job right, lol.

Kid is gone for a few hours.

So do I sit in here and watch more Netflix and crochet?

or do I go outside and start laying out all the Christmas decorations and putting up the ones I can right now? Can't light them yet (except to ensure they're working) but I can start stringing lights so they're ready to go Thanksgiving night. I have so many more this year I have to carefully plan out the power layout so I don't run out of extension cords and plugs. (yes, exactly like Christmas Vacation, minus being on the roof.)
