I was just making a joke but do you really want an article in the NYT about a new way to make $20/hr while sitting on your couch?

Sure 95% of those people would quit after an hour but a lot of the time we're all trying to grab a handful of hits...

 

Does mturk limit new signups still? I remember a year or two ago - there was a lot of difficulty in getting accepted to be a worker

 

Of course, but MTurk eliminates all the inconvenience from that and - to boot - you can actually recruit a representative sample off MTurk (it is, admittedly, an order of magnitude slower than tossing shit into the field though).

Usually, y'know, you pay for convenience.

They are very clear with how many tasks you will do, so you know your progress. Could be done slightly faster, or significantly slower, but it's pretty much self-paced
