We have a warehouse store here that has an insane collection and they rotate stock out pretty frequently beyound the normals. I got a few interesting things to try.

Beer 1 is just a single but it sounded good

Beer 3 is pretty boring but I was trying to be festive.

Just back after the 5 am wake up frenzy (had to skate at 3 to go to pre-surgery consult for husband's AM carpal tunnel surgery at 8 am tomorrow - any advice for those who have had it? He is a contractor and use of hand is important for, you know, saws and stuff) - but found this - so guess getting up early was worth it

In 92 it would have been the other player's fault for standing there.

Did see some cool thread going by while waiting at surgeons about card games. I come from a family of intense card players. My great aunts (in their 80's) did not care if you were a kid and would mercilessly beat you. Learned Spades, Hearts, Euchre, Pinochle and a really, really hard game called Sheepshead before I was ten. Is extremely hard to find anyone around here that knows how to play. Been trying to get a weekly game going with friends for years.

I've been slowly teaching all my friends kids and nieces and nephews to play cards and always carry a deck in my purse so even if we are at a restaurant and they are bored we can play Spit or Speed.

I think the proudest moment of my life is when my sister-in-law in Ohio told me that my 5th grade niece has been carrying a deck of cards to school (after we played non-stop for two weeks this summer at a remote cabin in Wisconsin with no internet :) )- and has taught all of her friends to play. :)
