I finally got around to doing it earlier this year after 13 or 14 years of putting it off. It was pure laziness on my part, too. My old dentist had been within walking distance of where we used to live, and he retired the same time as we moved into this house in 2003.

I just...never got around to making an appointment with another dentist.

How bad was it after 13 years? I haven't gone since my wisdom teeth were pulled (three years ago), and it was an awful experience, so I'm not too keen on going back.

apparently dental work and orthopedic surgeries that require implants don't play well together so I kept putting off dental work I knew I needed ended up loosing one tooth trying to keep it at one now.
