My cat Beans is so confused now.

 

Germ factory in daycare vs. germ factory when they're in school and you get harassed when they miss.

I say expose them before school starts!

 

This. Socialization is SO important.

 

Yea this + socialization seems like a legitimate reason to do it at least 1-2 days/week or SOMETHING. I'm a hermit (..obviously?) and would like my kid to be raised somewhat properly there lmao

I just distrust the value of the care.. I can't fathom changing diapers, cleaning up spit up, etc to be a rewarding/fun experience on the daily and at this stage that's.. kinda all there is lol.

Pay for a decent one if you're doing daycare. I have seen too many very bad liveleak videos of daycares to ever put my child (when I have one maybe) in one. Really super do your homework. Some of the nicest looking daycares end up on liveleak too.
I also stand on not wanting to because I'd like the be the one raising my child instead of hoping that the daycare is doing the right things and teaching them what I want them to be taught.

But you know, that's all hopeful thinking since I don't have one yet and haven't really had to cross that road.

I have a pic of Kiddo in front of Home Depot when he was 6 days old. My brother was staying with me for a week to help out after I came home (c-section) and was going to do some home repair while there, so all three of us went. Expose them young! lol.

 

Some people live to take care of Kids. I don't understand it, but they do. Socialization Isnt really a big deal til 2+.

One of our cats is named Schrodinger, partly because he's perpetually confused. But that could be because we named him Schrodinger.

My theory is he only knows what's going on when we are looking at him; the rest of the time he has no idea where he is or what to do, so he usually ends up either sleeping or scampering recklessly through the house at top speed and colliding into walls and shoes and things.
