You could still use one of the resellers that would be cheaper. I haven't looked into it much because tmobile isn't that bad $ wise and I'm no the one paying it.

 

Canada is technically not a real place so, no, no it won't be expensive.

I just toss T-Mobile another $10 every few months when I actually need phone service and it's worked out pretty well so far.

I don't use my phone often enough to justify the cost of a recurring plan, so I'm on the cheapest "pay as you go" one.
