12/08 - Stumbling Sunday!

I never got the email. I don't know if it means they are only doing it for certain workers (perhaps a phased rollout) or if I'm just supposed to be blindsided at a later date.

 

I didn't get one either, so hopefully this is just a testing thing and it fails miserably so I can keep my current process...

(although the extra AP step in the middle is kind of useless and a waste of my time)

 

From what I've read, brand new turkers don't even have the AP option anymore. It's direct deposit or amazon gift balance.

 

I withdraw to a prepaid credit card, so AP was my only option

 

Yeah I shifted most of those indoors last week... it was the grill and the cat fort plus the stacks of lumber I was concerned about. I don't think I have that kind of insurance so would be all "nope never seen that 4x4 before or those 2x6's..."

Hi howdy folks! Long time no post for me. Long story there...PTSD recovery my shrink says. That and I have been surfing alot. Anyway, I wanted to share some info that might be interesting to some of you perhaps. On Nov. 30 I went to withdraw turking funds from my Amazon Payment account. Lo and behold, my bank account was not listed. I scratched my head a bit, and then "added" it back in. Cool. Bank account verified. No problemo. But then I went to withdraw my funds and got the message "You are not permitted to withdraw." Another long story shortened: I contacted Amazon several times throughout the week, via phone and email. I got several emails back saying they were very apologetic and thanking me for my patience (??). As of today, I still cannot withdraw. I called again, and this time I got a help desk woman who poured the coal to it on figuring this out. She said her husband is a fellow Mturker by the way. She finally got hold of a "specialist" from Amazon Payments. Apparently the withdrawal system broke last week sometime for several accounts. They are working on it. A bug of biblical proportions or so they infer. I hope nobody else goes through this, but if you do, they swear they are working on it diligently. The old adage about monkeys and a football comes to mind.
Anyway, good to see you are all still kicking butt. Onward..thru the fog...

not bad, just steady showers. i'm usually pretty protected from the wind and rain because i'm right up against the foothills

 

I need to build a replacement for the railing that will be a windbreaker ..... the winds are steady off the water from around Mare Island and when they reach my little spot they pick up speed.... left or right of my deck area are solid wall a good 30 feet above my opening


I think I'll talk him into a glass wall 6 foot high like I used to install in SF on the rich fuckers houses
