Having a kid means I've been wrapping stuff for ages, natch.

I had this one roll of "santa" paper that was only used to wrap Santa's gift.

That roll lasted 11 years. I am unsure if I just bought one of those JUMBO rolls or if some magic was happening. Santa dropped off lots of gifts to be wrapped. I just remember at year 12 I had to go buy new Santa paper and was surprised at how long that darn roll lasted.

My aunt's the type who goes out and buys a ton of wrapping paper like the week after Christmas and stashes it all in the attic, so I've been mooching all my wrapping paper off of her.

 

I used to do that and have tons. And my auntie who just died did the same thing. Since I inherited all her holiday stuff, I'm 99% sure I will never buy wrapping paper again. I donated a lot of bags she had because I already have an entire box full of Christmas bags.

I don't mind wrapping. But I"m a shitty wrapper and I don't do a good job on ribbons. I want to be all talented and stuff but I SUCK at wrapping.

 

Speaking of kid gifts. Mine is out of the toy stage so....Switch gift cards, books and t-shirts it is, lol.

Just ordered him this one. I give him full permission to wear it to school.

 

I actually hate wrapping because I'm awful at it, but it is kinda fun to use a different color for everyone's names to keep it organized.

does santa always show up with wrapped gifts in your guys' homes? i have a friend who always had santa gifts unwrapped and now her daughters are unwrapped under the tree and it's such a sensory overload it seems crazy to me

And I made the fat dude stop bringing all the most awesome-ist gifts because one year he got all the credit for the Wii and I learned my lesson about letting Fat Dude bring all the best gifts.

But they are wrapped. He also stuffs all the stockings with wrapped gifts.
