My brother flew in this morning. Someone grabbed his bag and walked off with it and left theirs. The employees from American didn't want my brother to run off and look for the person, so they just made an announcement over the intercom and made him fill out some paperwork. They also wouldn't let him take the other bag that was left behind and told him if the person came back and didn't have his bag, they wouldn't be able to do anything about it because they can't get involved since it's not their property. He's basically screwed if they decide to keep his bag.

It's been about 4 hours already, so they are probably had a connecting flight or just don't care. Humans are the worst.

 

They probably just didn't check that closely. They're also screwed by grabbing the wrong bag.
