Texans fans stand up

 

The 'co-incidence' in and of this post is making me feel obligated to say something which I'm sure I'll wind up regretting later!
But that's okay! I've been learning the subtleties around here lately, thanks to the generous people who weren't afraid to let me know
that there's very little going on which is meant to be taken personally. So. Here goes!
Did anyone here like The Golden Girls show?
I never risked a speeding ticket to get home in time to watch it, but there was no doubt that the combination of decent writing and exceptional actresses made it one of those 'greater than the sum of its parts' type shows to me. What I didn't find out until just a year or so ago is that there was a sequel, called 'The Golden Palace'. I have no idea how I completely missed this. If you are in a similar boat, give it a shot! You can find it on 'the tube', and it's, once again, much better than might be expected!

I didn't know whether to "wow" this or love this...
I threw my friend a Golden Girls party for her 40th a couple years ago... I still have some awesome paper plates and table decorations with Dorothy, Blanche, Sophia and Rose on them. Also some wrapping paper.
The "wow" was because I did not know there was a sequel. You are a source of great information.

 

I thought everyone loved the Golden Girls? It's one of the rare examples of a universally loved television series.

 

It wouldn't surprise you to know I watched it when I was a kid. I was an old lady even as a small child.

I also have/had the same birthday as Estelle Getty, who I can completely identify with.

 

They used to show reruns of it on TV all the time and I especially enjoyed Rose's St. Olaf stories.

 

Uh. a perrier and a palm frond. In a purse? Interesting marketing.

Awww! So sweet and fuzzy and cute! And holy terrors, I'm sure.

And I get hyou on the light. I'm sitting right next to my cat. There is no white. As one of these pics shows yet...the other...looks like there is white.

Lucy has some really light orange on her, but I swear none of it is really white.

I glanced at that really quickly when it scrolled by and at first I thought it was a pineapple
Thought: Wow! That would be convenient if I had a pineapple to smuggle.
Second Thought: I may be the demographic for this ad.

 

It's accurate because it's basically how I use purses. I... like... don't have stuff to put in one? I always feel like a toddler, putting in random knick-knacks. When I used to use one, I had like, a hockey skate lace, a drum tuning key, 2 packs of gum, a couple books, some cookies, and a wallet. Until one day I realized I for sure didn't need that shit in the middle of walmart or whatever. I'm bad at being a girl, what do you carry in your purse? Besides snacks. Can I just carry snacks everywhere?
