I have had a dude buy a drink for me exactly one time, while he was trying to chat up my friend. We were in a city with a big craft beer scene, but this shitty bar had $1 PBR so that's what we were drinking. Dude asked what we were drinking, and when we said PBR he said "oh, no, let buy you a real beer" - then comes back out from the bar with two bottles of Corona Light

I felt bad for the dude cause he was trying so hard and my friend literally laughed in his face. He kept casually stretching so his shirt would "accidentally" rise up and expose his abs, until my friend straight up told him to stop it and pull his fucking shirt down. I lost a bit of sympathy for him when, after she declined to give him her phone number, he then turned to me with a look of obvious disappointment and said "well, how about you?"

I hate the dating/ flirting thing. Holy shit I would have just gotten up and walked away lol

 

It was amusing, he wasn't pushy or creepy or (intentionally) rude - just a sad boy with no game and terrible taste in beer.

I don't mind if they are polite and don't get annoyed when I say the words, "I have a boyfriend, no thanks!" but the amount of times some guy comes up to me and says something to the effect of, "Wow, you're so tiny! I bet I could pick you up and carry you away!" and doesn't get why that's creepy as hell. Yeesh.

We are going on a big group trip to Vegas and Matt is going to be on a different schedule than me for most of it. Luckily, my two best bros/body guards will be with me haha.

Reminds me of 6th grade field day, sitting with like 5-7 other girls and this boy none of us knew came up and just went down the row of girls asking each of us "will you be my girlfriend?" one right after the other as we each said no Later that day my friend ran up to me in the hall, so excited because she had her first boyfriend... guess his ask anyone who's breathing strategy worked eventually

Alternative strategy: ask the same person multiple times until they say yes.
