01/21 - Totally Twintastic Tuesday!

So I've discovered that Spence seems to have a thumb on one back paw, too. I think he might have more than one extra digit on a front paw, but he's not keen on letting me hold his paws for that long, so when we go to the vet I'll have the vet count toes.

Also, he makes bread with all four paws. This makes for one very unsteady cat who kneads away like a drunken, purring sailor and looks like he's gunna topple over any second, but he is droolingly happy doing it his way so whatevs. He's a big boy. More than twice the size of Lucy easily. Lucy is about 7 lbs. I'd place Spence an easy 14. So picture a ginormous cat kneading away on all four paws ready to fall over on top of you at any minute with drool coming out of his mouth, and you have Spence.

And he's learned if he really wants to annoy us he goes into the bath tub and yeowls so it echoes louder.

Wait I've been pretty distant lately -- You ended up getting him?? Last I heard you left a note asking for him. Yaaay new friend.

 

Me, wondering what Scraggles is... I don't believe he's a real cat most days.

 

I love that, Bob! Keeping that positive attitude is key.

 

When he first did it I thought he was losing his balance. But he's done it several times now. And if he finally gives up and sinks down I can feel the back legs still moving under him.

He's a biggun. My son went to pick him up and oofed at how heavy he is. He's not fat, he's just big. He HAS to be a boy. I've never seen a girl cat this big.

In comparison, Lucy, my redhead, is super tiny. Like an extra tiny full grown cat so we have the extremes. Lucy looks like she should still be a kitten but she's a few years old.

I did get him! The neighbor popped by on Saturday around noon and I walked down and brought him home! We're hoping this works out. So far, things are improving by the day.
