I worked IT support for an online banking service once. Some dude rang up and had a heart attack on the phone. I didn't know what had happened as it just sounded like weird groaning but I dialled 911 and got a responder out to him just in case. That was the last I heard of it until he called back three weeks later to say thanks, we'd saved his life.

They gave me a silver customer service award for it. I'm like, I literally saved one of customers life, and I get a SILVER award...what do you have to do to get a gold one? Turns out you have to sell customers more stuff to get a gold one.
