I am so jealous of those of you with a bunch of closed quals. Very happy for you, of course, but also extremely jealous.

Rate the relative quality of voice recordings, with and without noise-reduction. Reducing noise is good, but noise-reduction algorithms tend to cut into the voices to some extent. Depending on how you judge it, you could say the noise-reduced audio is "better" (less noisy, obviously), or "worse" (voices may sound less natural, and some frequencies may be muffled). I returned the HIT because I'm a terrible judge of this. When I've used software to try to clean up some very noisy audio, I've sometimes struggled to decide how much noise-reduction is too much, to find the sweet-spot "best" setting, until realizing I disliked anything more than minimal processing, and that I actually preferred the noisy originals (instead of the deleterious effects of the unfortunately excessive processing necessary to get rid of heavy noise). Most people probably prefer a higher degree of noise-reduction than I would want, so I'm probably the wrong person to work on this type of HIT.
