Beans likes it when someone watches her back but I get it, she used to be a stray so I bet it makes her feel safer. She also drinks stupid. She will take a lap of water and take her head up and lick the air a bunch then go back down for more water. She's done this exact drinking ritual for the 6 years we've had her and no matter what type of water bowl we get her it's the same. Drink, head up, lap air, drink, head up, lap air. Ok I realize this is my fault for posting about it, it was just supposed to be run of the mill parental whining stuff, so as an update: we got the results from her xray this afternoon. For sure scoliosis, but they don't yet know why because it isn't congenital (like her actual bones are fine). They said don't worry, a lot of times it just happens and clears up, and then threw that "don't worry" bullshit right out the window because they rushed us appointments this week to take her to a genetics lab and pediatric orthosomething for immediate followups. Both the direction & type of the curve all point to genetic/neurological problems so everything is kind of a nightmare all of a sudden

I'll be super honest & say I am not handling this well at all, please forgive me of any shittiness this week I'm not gonna lie I have absolutely no patience or brain space in the tank lol. I promise I am actively trying to get my shit together asap and that's all I got besides low quality low quality content messages atm
