My cousins are from Mexico. Haha. xD I grew up eating stuff like that.

 

For some reason I pictured you being from Iceland.

theres actually a seasoning you can buy thats used for things like that. i cant think of the name right now. but its HUGE in hispanic grocery stores

There is a chocolate candy that has chocolate covered citrus with chili powder and it's amazing.

Yet.

It has literally never crossed my mind to sprinkle it on all the citrus I have.

New favorite snack incoming. I'm going to cut them up and mix them with a little chili powder and eat with a fork.

 

Its super good on ALL citrus, I ate pretty much a whole pineapple sprinkled with Chili/Lime powder the other day. Lol

 

I'm in California. We have half the Hispanic stuff in regular grocery stores

We do have the Mexican Marts (as they are called by all around here ) that have nothing but food from Mexico, but regular stores will have a ton of it, too. Kind of nice.

Along with a bunch of Asian and Indian foods. One stop shopping.

 

Im in Arizona, where they have Mexican mini-marts run by Persians. xD

 

I'm going to get some next shopping trip. For now I'll just use what is already in my spice cupboard (chili powder!)

Maybe add some cumin. I love me some cumin.

That reminds me! Oven-roasted chickpeas with cumin and some white pepper and salt and chili powder = Delicious.

Lol. I am like a mile away from the geographic center of AZ, but Im only like 4 hours away from Nogales. Yeah, when a Mini-mart called "Marios" is run by Persian dudes? Something weird is going on. xD

 

I'm in Central CA, so like 5-6 hours from Disneyland, so what...another 2 hours to the border from there?

That's with no traffic of course. Add traffic and I'm probably 1-2 days away.

 

Traffic. That and pollution are the main reasons I dont typically head any further west than I already am. Lol.
