Were they Scandinavian? My Grandfather (on the Einer/Steiner - and other brother Gunther side) was named Edwin. He was Swedish. We both have Edwin-ish relatives! What's funny is I never knew his proper name was Edwin until he died because we always just called him Grandpa Ed

I can think it. I can't say it.

It might be because from age 6-10 we had Danish neighbors who we were always around and their mom always spoke to us in Danish (and I had no clue what she was really saying but I always knew what she meant, and her kids would translate if I was really lost). She could totally speak English just fine, perfectly, but she wanted her kids to speak Danish, too.

So it's possible that while I cannot say it, my brain remembers that early exposure so it's thinkable for me.

That is awesome. It's a weird language. Sometimes my wife asks me why certain things are said one way and not another, and I just don't know. I just know it is lol.
