It isn't affordable agiasnt the wages. Its great place for a family with two incomes. But we have a large college, and there are plenty adults that work min wage, and even with two people working min wage they will struggle. Its like people are killing themselves to pay the rent. I think it is closer to home because i have employees under me at work, and seeing them struggle, and constantly fighting to get more pay. A single man needing $19 hour to make it ina decent place is just awful. He ended up moving away.

omg lol. I've totally worked down there. I have to say that I enjoyed it because while it was hot it was never super humid and that made a lot more tolerable.

Am I the only one here who felt the Survey Monkey survey's 'Do you have any children?' question was worrisome?

Here in the midwest in a suburb a good hour+ away from Chicago - its like 900+ for a 1 bedroom.

I suppose can get it cheaper when its one of those low income places where the state pays a portion though.

Yes that is basically the same situation here. But I really don't think someone could find a place even in the slums for less than 800. Its just unfair that people have to give so much to have a roof over their heads.
