I've been building my game room since we moved here......now my adult step child who is here 2 months a year, has a problem with it...fun stuff lol.

Basically he was throwing a Grinch fest yesterday that he wasn't coming home during the summer because "I don't have my own space" he sleeps in my game room when he's here...my extra bedroom is a nursery for grand child. And most everyone would love my game room. LED lights, cool funko pops everywhere, several couches, a 3 tv setup with roku's amazon fires and all sorts of game systems....yet he'll refuse to use any of it because he has to use HIS tv. It's just weird shit like that.

He's pushing buttons because he's mad his relationship ended, he thinks his sister is getting preferential treatment, and he's weirdly over possesive of everything. Also his idea of having his own space is he will throw a giant pile of dirty clothes in the middle of the floor..not to be touched. He gets mad if you pick up his mess, well my house is very clean and I won't live that way.

He's always been difficult and he knows by telling that stuff to his mom she'll be upset which then she wants to tell me how I'm too neat like it's somehow my fault I don't want dirty clothes all over the house. Which I then have to go, what I'm asking is not unreasonable...so it's this circle where he gets her riled up and I have to be like asking someone not to be a slob while in my house isn't asking to much right?

After 10 years I still struggle to figure him out.

Yeah, he sounds like he is pretty spoiled. Man, I don't envy you on that front at all. I also need shit to be neat or at least somewhat organized. Clothes on the floor puts me in a state of instant anxiety/annoyed mood.

 

He's always been a super difficult person, his fathers house looks like a landfill exploded so he probably thinks I'm the weird one. But yes that side of his family has always bailed him out and given him anything he wants.

 

That sucks. I feel for you, man.

 

There used to be so many ACME HITs, but now I only see a few.
Did they start using quals or going to Masters? I loved those except when the bluejays stopped on my porch. Or there was a small meow at the end to record again.

My wife is a little more willing to overlook things than I am. Like yesterday she used the line isn't family more important than cleaning. And it's like I don't think you understand, it's not acceptable to have a pile of dirty clothes in the floor.
