My hit catcher is being wonky today. It's only searching when I am actively on the tab. Has anyone experienced that before?

 

Yes it's called the GFY glitch, it means you should take the day off.

 

like 2 years ago chrome came out with some update that made background tabs not active. there's a fix somewhere. Or you can just have the hit catcher in its own window rather than a tab.

This may be outdated though. Not sure if this is still the case

That very well maybe, but my point is this. A person is asking a very specific question, using the example, how to lose weight quickly. As a person reading that question I either know how to lose weight quickly, or I don't. The poster didn't ask for my personal thoughts, beliefs, or an explanation of everything I've read and heard to the contrary of what they are asking. They just want to know whether I have the specific information they are seeking. If I do have knowledge about how to lose weight quickly from personal experience, I can choose to share it with them or not. I could even private message it to them if I don't want others to slam me.
