Be VERY careful. In my last rental before we moved into our house, I thought it would be fun to steam clean the wood floors since we wanted to get our security deposit back. I got distracted as I often do, and left it standing upright on the floor against the wall for a few minutes. I wouldn't say that it stained the floor, but it deff steamed a noticeable outline of the head into the floor.

I know it’s fine under a certain temp and has been great on mine! I just looked at reviews and got one that was supposed to do well with hardwood floors. It doesn’t get crazy hot, but just enough that it cleans the floor pretty easily. Cleaning up after the herd is a big chore for me

Oh, I bought that steamer you have b/c they had a super cheap refurb'd version available. Absolutely worth every cent, holy heck it's amazing.
