if things are slow they might be okay, but their set up leads to submitting incomplete too easily

 

ok guys red alert. i am having a serious computer issue here. left a panda running with my laptop open, came home about 2 hours later, and it now says "not connected. no connections are available." in the bottom right where my wifi network is usually shown. tried uninstalling/reinstalling the wifi adapter/driver. updated driver software manually via ethernet and did the "searching online for software". have the latest version and it shows under properties that it's working correctly. any ideas??? really don't wanna have to go to a computer shop for this. i'm sure there's a fix i haven't thought of. also did a system restore back to 2 weeks ago - didn't help

 

Have you tried unplugging your modem/router for 30 sec then turning it back on?

 

Some laptops have a dedicated wifi switch on the side of the laptop, you might have hit it accidentally.

 

Eh, it's a girl's day out so we'll see what happens. I do enjoy sour/tart things though

 

Sometimes laptops have a key combination to enable/disable wifi. Look for a function key (sometimes labeled "FN" that is a different color) and then a key with a wifi or antenna symbol on it. If it exists, you can try pressing both to toggle wifi on/off. Not likely this is what happened, but you never know lol.

 

yes. it's definitely not a router/modem issue as i can still connect to my wifi network on my phone/ethernet cable works also for computer. that's how i'm connected now

i know what you're talking about. my laptop doesn't have that. wish that was it
