This is the automated wand twirler and I now swear by it. All the cats will play with it, and my ginormous moose of a cat stops it flat with his paw so it can't twirl and it is designed to take that without breaking:

Some reviews say it's noisy, mine is not (it's not silent but I can hear a tv over it easily). Some say the feathers came off easily, but SpencerMoose has not been able to rip them off yet, despite trying. Some say it dies in a few weeks...can't comment on that yet as I've only had it less than a week.

The cat tunnel was at the 99 cent store. I paid $2.99 for it. So check at your local cheap-ass store for one? Big Lots had one, too, but it was shaped like a rainbow unicorn and I didn't want to vomit a little in my mouth every time I looked at it on my floor so I passed, but if you like rainbow unicorns, that's an option.

Cat can destroy one in a few days but there are 100 of them so the bag lasts a long time.

I also got a bag of those pine pellets for cat litter and OMG. 50% reduction in that eye watering cat urine ammonia smell. They are my new favorite and I'll be buying them in bulk and cheap at the feed store.

Not with the legs out. Spencer rubs against it to pet himself and it stays upright. Can a cat knock it over if it tries? Sure. But. Spence regularly rubs his face all over it and it stays standing.

Also, it has timers. I love that. I can set it for 30 mins and leave and know it will shut off and not drain batteries.

So heh. I just discovered when researching cheap pine pellets that I am not crazy thinking since we got Spencer our house smells way more like cat pee.

Male cat pee stinks worse than female pee. Never knew that.

Though, yesterday, Spencer decided to just poop in the middle of the lawn like a dog. I had to go get it before mowing. Looks like I need to start checking my lawn again for poop. Which I'm fine with, been picking up dog poop for 9 years and I'd rather pick up cat poop from the lawn vs. out of the cat box.
