It's going to lose even more meaning after this month.

 

I want it! AND I WANT IT NOW!!!! Lol. Something I've always wondered is why is it a qual that you can request when it clearly doesn't work that way. A couple years ago there was a chick on a Facebook Group that swore that's how she got it. She said she requested it every day for three years without missing one day and it worked! Lol

 

I want it but I'm not holding my breath. You're still special in our eyes, and still have meaning to us.

lol yeah they have no clue what they are talking about. There is a system that they claim helps them pick the users but it seems borderline random. Perhaps it will be different this time as it appears that mturk is getting its shit together.

 

It was so funny because everyone was like it's not so much your daily request of the qual as your 200,000 approved, excellent approval rating- and the fact that it's clearly RANDOM. She didn't care what anybody said. She said request it daily for 3 years and you will get it. I don't think anyone tested her theory lol.

 

I recall that someone got it without ever requesting the qual. I mean you can do it but it doesn't do anything.

Why do they even have it when it's useless? It's a mind game I tell ya! I admit I requested it occasionally when I first started turking but as soon as I started joining the groups and forums I realized it was a waste of time and I could be requesting quals that would actually yield good paying hits instead lol.

Pros:
the base pay seemed okay.

Cons:
until you see the bubble hell that awaited. all of questions were redundant, also the AC's back to back just looked generic in form. the question setup could've easily been downsized and scouted closer making for a better hourly rate.

MTurk is designed to be used through code

At some point, they figured out 99% of their customer base had absolutely no business writing code, so they tossed a web UI on top of it, but only to the bare minimum some dude wanting a better job at Amazon could muster on w/e janky paycheck they were giving him

And thus some features just don't do anything
