We have a coworker thats out with symptoms of COVID - except they're a low risk group, so they aren't getting tested. All of us have sore throats, dry coughs. It's only a matter of time till shit explodes and they have to start closing grocery stores to sanitize them after workers are tested positive

 

I sent a text to the owner of the place I work at on Monday suggesting he do no contact deliveries, as in he has to set up our ordering system to enable things disable things - take off cash orders on online orders and that kind of thing.

He responded by telling me he's "considering it."

I was ready to quit right then. Considering it? fuck you. just do it. selfish prick he is IMO. Instead I held out on the hopes of everything being closed down soon anyway.

I'm currently in a group chat with everyone at my work and we're all discussing just not going in anymore.

 

we're so understaffed as it is, that even if just a couple of us decide we're not going in - he'll be forced to close down anyways.

Unless he wants to actually work himself and play an actual part in his own restaurant that he's running to the ground, but he doesn't care because he paid 300,000 cash for it to be a hobby that he stopped participating in.

i know a number of people in the local brewing industry and hearing similar shitty stories. i 100% support you and your attitude about it, it's 100% justified and valid. i'm so sad to hear about the true colors of some people betraying people who trusted them.

I can't even visit my parents, because IDK if I'm getting the virus because of all the people I have to be in contact with.

They're both high-risk, especially my dad who I'm scared to death for because he got a transplant and is on immunosuppresant medication because of it.

It'd be nice if I could just not have contact with anyone, so I don't have to be too worried to visit my parents.
