My first NHL game was in 2011 or 2012. Went to see the Ducks play the Blue Jackets in Columbus. I am not gonna lie....I chocked up when I stepped into the arena and saw the Ducks warming up. That was a moment I had been dreaming about experiencing since I was a kid and I finally got to see them. Stood by the glass and watched Teemu Selanne which was one of my childhood idols, skate right there in front of me. It was surreal.
We had seats right next to the Ducks locker room tunnel so I got to bump fists with some of the players at intermission which totally made the 28 old me feel like a kid again.

OH...and during warmups, George Parros flipped a puck out to me. Talk about the perfect first NHL experience.

Why do car dealers always try to sneak stuff in at the end of the deal? It's so annoying. I negotiated a deal on Thursday that wasn't supposed to include any dealer fees. They said they had a 1k dealer services charge which would be waived and I added some other stuff but when I got to the financing office on Saturday, the guy presents the cost breakdown form with his hand over the actual breakdown of charges. I could only see the top half with the total price plus tax and the bottom half with my down payment info and total loan amount. And of course his finger pointing to where I needed to sign. As any prudent would, I brushed his hand out of the way and what do I see? A $150 doc fee. So when I say there aren't supposed to be any dealer service fees, I'm told that's a titling fee but they didn't have a spot for it. I straight up asked if he thought I was stupid. He said no, no that's just the cost of us filing for the title. I was tired and angry at that point so I told him to either take it off or I'd keep looking for another car. I felt bad after I said it but we had been down there almost three hours at that point (past closing) but the constant back and forth with prices was getting to me. He had already spent like 15 minutes trying to sell a warranty I didn't want but decided to get anyway. I flat out stopped him from talking for a few seconds at one point and researched the price online lol. He asked for 2500 and I paid 1k which was what it should have been. Platinum wrap. We had already been back and forth over the cost of other things like running boards with the salesman all day and I just wanted to say f*** it, I'll buy something at the end of year. But they came through at the end, just the haggling was too much!

Find what it's actually worth. There are resources all over the internet telling you what other people pay for the car.

Pick yourself a super low price.

Walk in - say - "I'll pay XXX for XXX car, take it or leave it"

they always do their stupid "oh but this car is so hot, I can't sell it for that"

then you say - "ok I'll find someone who will."

then they're all "ok dude, my bad, we'll sell it to you"
