I had a devastating weekend. I had to put down my baby boy Ashes this past Saturday. He's been my buddy since middle school and had a healthy 17 years. It's the first time I've had to euthanize a pet and it's been tough to deal with. I'm glad I was there for him to hold him while he went to sleep. Miss my boy

Thank you all. I'm sure some of you know how hard a pet loss can be, they become part of your family. My avatar is Jojo, another one of my buddies. Ashes lived with my parents and I grew up with him. He had a wonderful life and I feel blessed to have had him be a part of my life. Don't think I can have another pet for a while, the emotional toll is so great.
