This question causes unfair feels

 

i take it that you are using small screwdrivers and such?
if so, theres a cheating way to get a stripped screw out but it might take a couple attempts.
get crazy glue or gorilla glue. put some on the tip of the driver, put the driver in the stripped screw hole
let it sit and sit a few minutes, maybe 30 to be sure. carefully turn the driver. most of the time you can get it out in one or two attempts. i used to have to do this a TON with tri wing screws that were rusty and the tops were mangled.

Like can I just claim it? This stuff hardly affects MTurk, if anything there's a huge increase in interest for running online studies, but I'm not not gonna try since 999/999 we get shafted on stuff like this lmao.

 

Thankfully...we haven't been financially affected. And who knows how that would work anyway. I think they just throw stuff out there and hope it sticks.

This survey/study/whatever had a 5 cent qualification HIT linked to it

Not your typical study, as you get to play a game

Cons:
Unfortunately, you have to play that game 6 times for 90 seconds each, so you'll spend at least 9 minutes on the games alone. The games are infuriating by design, strain your hand, and may take longer depending on your performance on them.

After each game follows 12 questions, which makes this already underpaid HIT even more underpaid.

Not surprised that in times like these your organ selling business is booming. For shame.

 

My husband is a tile contractor and hasn't been able to work so it's a definite for him. Same for my mom who works in catering and hasn't worked. It's slowed down significantly for me but I feel like others need it much more.

 

I'd claim it based on my last couple of months since I just got back to Mturk.

That said, I'm not going to because as you say it doesn't feel like it will affect mturk. It's just a good thing for like construction workers who are 1099ed or substitute teachers... or small business owners (ala caterers, hair dressers, etc.)

Besides, they need it more than me, and this is gonna tax our treasury pretty hard.

 

We are self employed gig workers. Don't ask too many questions and just accept the money.
