Grow it in the winter too! It likes the cold and freezes change the flavor profile a bit, gives you something different.

 

My kale plants only produce tiny leaves. They eat but it's not as big as I would like. Got any tips?

Maybe it's the type you're growing? There's a bunch of different varieties. I like Russian kale.

Also, I went to Centre, so I don't have a dog in the fight either way. Dad went to UL for Law School, and my reenactment group used to practice on campus so there is that.

I honestly want both teams to do well... it makes the rivalry better.

Alright I'm on the Kentucky train but I'm really not sure on Kentucky gin.. that seems.. wrong.

 

Kale is native to cold climates. It likes getting a few freezes. Some of the bitterness is reduced that way.

 

So it's actually more bitter than my experience? That shit is super bitter.

 

Can't be worse than Texas gin. Shit tastes like ethanol.

 

Stop growing stuff in Houston, we all know why it tastes that way there.
