yeah the hour time change sent my youngest into full on meltdown head banging mode twice a year

now he is 17 and playing video games / sleeping and completely enjoying this break before college

 

I'm sorry I've been blessed in that regard. While my eldest had his own set of "issues", change has never been a problem with my kids. They just take things like that/this as they come.

 

boy is the joy of my life but man he drove me nuts some times as a young child

 

Just gotta unclick the Hide Fun Stuff box and he'll return. He's just chilling, it's Saturday after all.

 

My kid is doing great, too. I read a joke that posted on Facebook yesterday to him that mentioned "the kid is starting to crack" and Kiddo replied, "This is healing all of my cracks!"

He's doing great with all of this. Not overly worried. He won't go outside and run right now no matter how safe I tell him that is, so he chooses to get on our stairmaster, but otherwise he has no worries.

 

All that said, my kid has massive anxiety over school, so for him this is a blessed relief really.

Though he did say the other day that he knows he's told me several times he hates his math and chemistry classes and wishes they would just end, but he didn't actually want them to end this way.

has he /you ever considered cyber school between my daughter's anxiety and some bullying we had to pull her out of regular school her sophomore year

 

We haven't really. He can cope with his anxieties. They're there, he is constantly in a state of stress over school and everything but it's within what I think is a "normal" range (maybe extreme normal, but still normal) and he has to learn to deal with this before he goes to college. He's getting slowly better as time goes on, so that is a good thing.

He had massive anxiety issues in grade school and we got help with that so I think the early intervention helped make this much more bearable, even though it's still hard some days.

 

All this stress has caused me to develop a really irritating twitchy eye.
