It's a slippery slope.

My son is only 3 right now, but he is definitely old enough to know if I'm "present" or not. If I am going to teach him that burying your face in your phone/tablet/computer is rude when you are trying to spend time with people, I certainly can't be running to my computer every time I get a notification. The best way to remove that temptation to work 24/7 is to commit to unplugging, even if it costs me money.

Kids have a funny way of holding a mirror up to your personality and behavior.
