i had to go to the store for a few things today and wore a mask my nurse practitioner friend made me. since they're running low on ppe, she bought some 1900 air filters, cut them up, and sewed masks that have a little slit to replace the filter, and she was kind enough to make me one. half of the shoppers there were wearing masks, the other half weren't taking any precautions, including the chick who squeezed next to me to grab something out of the same freezer i was grabbing something out of? it would have been awkward and rude on a good day, let alone right now with her grimey little fingers and mouth breathy ways, gtfo out of my bubble.

My industry has actually been classified as "essential" but only for "essential" parts. Like repairs, processing rents and bills, and, this part pisses me off, inspections that are mandated by law that the law people won't waive right now.
