Yeah, I wish that worked. I can smell my "I haven't taken a shower or used deodorant in over 24 hours" child from 10 feet away.

The stink is real, y'all, when boys are teenagers. It just...radiates off of them like a space heater.

 

My younger step brother STANK. To the point where I refused to ride in a car with him for a while because he just refused to bathe or change his socks....It was fucking gag worthy

 

My kid hasn't shaved since school stopped.

He doesn't yet have hair above the jaw line, it's all neckbeard. We were outside today and I looked up at him (my eyesight is perfectly aligned with his neck) and gasped.

That's a mean ole neckbeard he's got going on. I reached up to touch it saying, "you haven't shaved in a while, have you?" and he jerked away from me. "DON'T TOUCH IT MOM!'

Then don't grow it, kid. Trips this mama out to see her baby with a thick neck beard.

 

Fortunately my kid is pretty good about showering every day. Sometimes he might skip a day but not often. I do think he's not using his deodorant though, which I'm trying really hard to encourage him to use without making him feel bad. The other night he was jumping on his trampoline near me and my eyes nearly started watering. I knew he was going in to shower soon so I just kept quiet and ordered more deodorant so he doesn't run out.

 

I'm terrible. Cause my 10 year old is starting to need deodorant. I straight up tell him he stinks and to go put it on

 

It may also be that the brand you're buying just isn't doing it for him. Or he needs to apply multiple times/day.
