morning sir.. you are up early.. or maybe not. I guess kids can rise a parent early.

 

I know this is a touchy topic, but I am watching american horror story and they are talking about physics. I am not sure I believe in it. Does anyone else?

 

Yesterday's home schooling was super rough and way too much work. Teacher must have received some feedback because she mde it a catch up day and playing learning games online.

My sister is a teacher and said she's had parents seriously flipping out at her about the workload for their kid. She got an 18 minute voice mail from a parent last week.

 

That's crazy! I really feel for the teachers in this because of that and how clear it is that they are missing the kids. Our school sent out a message yesterday saying basically do what you can but don't sweat it too much. I've tried not to badger too much just send a few "I have no idea what I'm doing" messages here and there.

 

I give parents and teachers a lot of credit for all they've been doing. I know it has been hard on everyone. I work in a school and miss being there.

Yea, she said the kid of the voicemail parent is fine because the kid is already ahead of where they should be so my sister basically just told the parent to relax and do whatever she's able to.

On the other hand she has kids who are behind and their parents aren't really engaging with any work being given. My sister is doing Facebook live lessons for a few hours a day and doing 1 on 1s too but if the parent won't turn on the computer for the 6 year old what are you supposed to do?

Plus she teaches at a private school and the school is basically just saying you're on your own, we don't have the IT capabilities to do anything for you.

I've always thought highly of teachers but now even more so. They are pouring so much into their classes in such a crazy time and having to also comfort parents as well as their own little ones.
