i'd just feel bad about it because it's illegal. i've already done some morally dubious stuff, nothing illegal, but it made me rethink my future decisions.

in other words, i fuck off and make dumb decisions online and as anonymously as possible, i try not to in RL lol

already got my kicks with an ED-OCD, now i'm p much done with recovery, and also have a moderate case of the Big Sad (thanks to fluoxetine for saving my butt *confetti* )

my parents never had alcohol around and the only time i've seen one of them drunk was kind of worrying soo

i mean i could have like 5 now if i wanted, but i can't work like that and i have no idea whether i'd be a Nice Drunk or a Chaotic Drunk

 

I kinda wish I had been in my 40s during my 20s and 30s. It took me waaaay too long to figure out that a lot of stuff I thought was infinitely important at the time.......... wasn't.

I'm finally at a point in my life where I honestly love who I am, even at the same time as wanting to keep learning and evolving.

Ah. In the 70s parents let us kids "try" drinking. We were given little glasses of liquor. Then, when they got drunk enough, they didn't notice what we drank, lol. And I drank in high school.

Never had a problem with drinking, though. Until recently when, because I don't drink much anymore, one night at a friends I was drinking wine and what I drank ended up being too much and my kid witnessed all the bad things that can happen when you do that and it wasn't pretty. He was quite worried. I was at a friend's and her kid saw it too so we told them both, "Basically, that's what you'll look like in college if you make dumb decisions, so don't do it."

Fortunately they know me well and know that was an aberration, because if that wasn't...yikes. I'd truly have a problem. But it has convinced my kid he does not want to drink.

That's what takes the sting out of the harder parts of being older (oh the aches and pains!) How comfortable I am with myself and the disappearance of angst. It's glorious.
