Thanks, @AlexZ . The eMail on this legit: it's from UC Irvine, and I checked the sender name and there is such a person/instructor there. Weird. So I called my bank and spoke with a manager who said that if no $$ had been taken out of my account, not to worry. So I won't. .....................
