I know the book is criticized for being slow, but being from the area makes it that much more interesting to me. I'm like, hey I know that name, I know that place.

It feels like it's been forever since we've chatted. I'm glad you are being safe, and hopefully you can resume semi-normal duties safely next month. My area's numbers have only been going up too (I'm somewhat lumped in with Chicago -- my city is split into two counties, and one of them is the same as Chicago), but our governor has a pretty strict plan in place thankfully. My office job kept asking me to come in and I was less than enthused, but for convoluted obligation reasons I kept going but telling him I didn't want to (I don't even "need" the job, but, again, convoluted obligations). Then someone one day took a bus from the city to get here, wore the same pair of gloves she wore on the bus through her entire visit, touched everything, and left with the same gloves on, I finally told boss, dude, seriously, this is not wise, I'm done (took a page out of @dan's book). He finally understood and stopped asking me to come in, except for a rare favor here or there, safely, smartly. I'm eternally grateful my real job is already online/remote. My introverted lifestyle is happy but I miss thrift stores and garage sales so much, and I'm just waiting for gardening season to actually start (low of 20s tomorrow night????) so I can stop feeling completely worthless and helpless lol

My new knife is late so now I'll have to cook dinner with my old chef knife like a fool.

 

Update: 9 pm. My body is tired and my mind is wide awake. What have we learned? the more coffee, the better Caffeine and sleep disorders do not mix.

 

Try some more coffee. Maybe it'll wake up your body. What could it hurt?

My dad prefers to induce his panic attacks over the natural ones. He said then he can blame it on something external instead of his own internal processes.
