Okay, Rinzael.

 

Skeeter decided to go on a great adventure today. It's the first time I've ever legit lost him on a walk, in the middle of the desert, with no one else around and I look away for a minute and he poofs out of existence and suddenly doesn't come back when I call. We look for HOURS. Walk the route, take the bike out, take the dirtbike out, can't find him. I'm melting down because his tag came off recently and I just ordered a new collar with his name/number engraved on it - yes, he's also microchipped guys, worry not.

Well, we are both exhausted and worried and Matt runs into our neighbor just outside the neighborhood and asks if he's seen a dog. Sure, he's seen a dog! He said the dog was super nice and he recognized him from around the neighborhood but couldn't remember what house. He was wearing a bright blue harness with a handle, so he figured the doggo just got distracted and lost and someone was looking for him. Sooooo, Skeeter was two doors down, hanging out with the nice neighbor lady, and apparently the reason I heard barking that sounded super familiar when I called his name was because he was barking back at me. He was super psyched to see me, I think he may have forgot how he got lost in the first place.

As soon as I walk in the door, postman shows up and delivers his new collar. Matt and I promptly laugh hysterically because that's the most Skeeter thing to ever Skeeter. I expect that he won't vanish now, because it wouldn't have the same level of drama now that his phone number is back on him.

 

Sleeping, making money, and being lazy.
