Me catching up on the last couple pages:

My parents have me on Super 8 soundlessly chugging from a long necked Pepsi bottle when I was a year old and then tears streaming down my face due to the bite from the excessive carbonation the old Pepsi used to have. And then shots of both my parents laughing at me.

People were stupid back then. And that explains my life long addiction to Pepsi.

I mean, that's true too, but I rent, and it's stupid cheap to rent it, and my landlord was "going to get the roof fixed before it snowed" (last year...), but almost everyone here is having problems with the amount of rain we're getting. I know someone with a new house and their sump pump two nights in a row. This rain has just been apocalyptically insane.

I'm being my normal slow self here, but wanted to mention that I found a chicken wandering around Central Park in New York City when I
was a little kid, which I hid in the bathtub in the apartment for no logical reason. I couldn't believe how quickly the bathroom looked like a
scene from a gory horror movie, except with a different color. My mother was not pleased. As an Iowa farm girl originally, I'm pretty sure
that she had no qualms about giving the critter to one of our Spanish Harlem neighbors, who probably made good use of it.

 

If the wind blows just the right way and it's raining my garage gets a leak.

That we cannot find at all whenever we look for it or when it is just normal raining or I squirt a hose up there.

So I'm not paying to re-roof the garage for a rando leak. I just don't store anything where the persnickety leak shows up once or twice a year.
