I guess there is only so much brain damage you can endure.

 

Alexandria is keeping track of times now and adjusting pay rates slightly as a result (as you submit, you'll see the number of seconds spent on the page flash on the submit button - pay on current evaluate opposite events dropped 1 cent from earlier due to this I believe), so is it unethical to let some bake???
Kind of torn, but thought I'd throw that out there cause at the end of batches, it would probably be beneficial to let some SUPER BAKE. But is that wrong? Would love some opinions...

At least one person associated with their lab tried to pay people a fixed $15/hr. It was not very well received. Mechanical Turk is not a stable/traditional source of income, so outright trying to pay every single person the same fixed wage just doesn't work. Mturk isn't the platform for that.

It's great fun. Very simple but it has a little manager game built in too.

 

Yeah. That makes sense that they tried that, but I wasn't aware at the time. Shoot. That means that when I multi tabbed in the past or multi window now* (because now whatever they are using to keep track of times knows if you're on the page or in a different tab) on their jobs may be more lucrative. Maybe that's why I got some unexpected bonuses in the past. Due to multi tabbing and them thinking I was making a lower hourly than I was?

IDK. Those accounts have mostly been fair for pay, so I don't really mind adjustments here or there on their end, but cutting pay by a penny kind of makes me worried it will keep going down on certain batches or that they might get super stingy and turn into a filler batch. In that case, I probably might start to bake, etc.

Guess overall it just sucks so many workers submit crap to Alexandria when they tend to be fair. Think that's why there was a huge gap of no Alexandria or fewer Alexandria hits for a while. They literally had to scrap entire projects because of bad data.
