I like the black Twizzlers too but salty black licorice is the best.

 

Okay family story. My mom bought these a long time ago and offered them to the family. We all grabbed them and read the back to see what it could be. My dad grabbed one and was like wtf this isn't on the back of the box wonder what it is. He pops it down and apparently it was vomit. Apparently it was so spot on to the vomit flavor too.

 

I'm eating biscuits and gravy. Wanted something small to eat but wasnt ready for dinner yet.

ok so a friend gave me those YEARS go to try. one sniff after opening the box, the person was like...uh....nevermind, and threw them in the trash asap

 

Your friend sounds lame. Half the fun of buying them is randomly eating one without checking the back of the box.

 

OMG SO I FOUND OUT TODAY YOU CAN FEED CHICKENS PIZZA AND POPCORN. Sounds like we're ganna have a hot Friday night with a bunch of chicks! Now to find out if we can give them beer/liqour.

 

Popcorn, yes. Pizza? I dunno, I know chickens will eat pretty much anything but maybe just the crust?

 

Apparently the pizza part is just fine but it's in super moderation y'know? Like 1/4 of a slice to a bird if that. It's safe but not healthy, just like pizza in general lmao
They can also have beer it seems!

 

from what i was told by the ex who was ex amish (long story) you can feed chickens pretty much anything. she called the ones she had "goats with feathers" cause they tended to eat all the food scrap we had. i remember the ones she had loved to eat the core of lettuce and broccoli stems

As far as I know, I've liked them since before I was 'old'.
And it made me think of you because I once made pretty good knock-offs by melting sugar until it
was tan and putting it into little molds. Since you always seem game for a cooking experiment, I
was wondering if you'd ever tried anything like this.

 

I should have my mom send me some black licorice candy and secret santa it to some people.

 

Werthers are fabulous! I've never made them myself but you've piqued my interest in a project now!

 

one candy I will take black licorice over are still those orange and black wrapped peanut butter candies some horrible people give out at Halloween...to this day, I don't even know the name of them. The worst.
