Boy oh boy! I sure do learn a lot of stuff here!
I hope some of my Boomer wisdom is occasionally worth knowing, too!
My only experience with Rap music is that I once wrote an awful verse

Steak tartare is possibly the greatest dish of all time, if you can find a place to get it!
I never had it with an egg on top, although I once had a Thai version with beef 'strips' and a raw quail egg.

 

I'm splitting a cow with a friend, and she made the mistake of telling me the type of cattle it is so of course I spent hours learning about dexter cows because I like learning. One thing said how they'll eat literally anything and I was like dude same, I am also a cow that eats anything.



(the one I'm getting is all grass fed organic blahbitty blah, but still)

other than direct from a farmer, where could you get them? ive only had chicken eggs and ostrich eggs.....never thought about duck (or ostrich really til it was given to me)

Or pie in the fridge, or potato salad, or chocolate truffles, or anything else. The list is entirely too long and I can't live like that. I can have something last two weeks and nibble on it, and he will come in and in one sitting gobble it all up and say nothing. I'll share the majority with him, but I definitely have hold-outs that will never be revealed to him. He knows I hide stuff from him and I'll even chew it in front of him but, bless his heart, he just laughs at this point. He knows I'll chew/claw his hands off if he gets too near.

 

i can get them at some grocery stores here, farmers markets, egg farm. quail eggs are available in the japenese markets. fertilized eggs, "century" eggs

 

see but least in that case it could be shared or would be. this is assholery in my case where like, i bought pb cause i like to sometimes just eat pb and crackers for a day or two. entire jar of pb vanished, 3 of 4 sleeves of crackers gone. this is a *roommate*. itll be a week or two later and a comment from them will slip about "oh see, this is the GOOD pb here, not like the nasty shit you buy" as they flaunt buying $5 pb for themselves. or my thin sliced shaved steak vanishes from the freezer while they bought $50+ packages of steak. shit like that sets me off.

 

ill have to check, do they taste somewhat like chicken eggs or something different?

I love steak tartare, with or without the raw egg. I like to have it as an appetizer and then have something like duck for my main.

Pair with my very most favorite wine varietal of Chateauneuf du Pape and I'm in heaven.
