Crazy underpaid. I did the qual HIT awhile back and did not expect the actual task to be 10 cents a pop. You have to Google these people, save the photos to your computer, then upload them, then answer demo questions about them... absolute garbage pay rate for all of that work.

And to be honest, I wouldn't want to do any work from someone who's so finicky and uppity and snobbish and COMPLETELY clueless as to set their qual at 100% unless they also have their number of approved HITs set at less than 100 and are specifically looking for absolutely brand-new workers.

If I were a researcher, that would be the quals I'd assign for those "You'll be paired with an interactive chat partner" HITs, which we all know after doing a REAL chat HIT, are actually just bots with scripted responses. It's hard to get genuine data when your test subjects know their partner is just lines of code.

Yeah. Did a quick Reddit search, and Nov. 2017 was the latest round I found. And the few people who responded to those threads all had over 50k approved and 99.75-99.99

Well, I guess I won't be using this qual

 

it's exactly like the qual HIT, but only one of them at a time. can't believe they don't even make it easier by setting all the info as a clickable google search. they talk about alleged bonuses but there's no detail about how much or how many you have to do to get a bonus, so i'm side eyeing them hard lol... removing them from my include list

 

There's been a few I've seen posted here since I joined. Definitely no waves though.

 

Something you might try? Accept one, and look at the upload box. See if you can drag and drop the picture into the upload box from google, since the picture is stored as a .temp file on your computer? If so, could be worth it if you can shave 20 seconds off the completion time.

 

If anyone sees the typing task by Econ Study, grab it. I'm expecting at least $18.50 for it tomorrow. It does require typing for 45 minutes spread over three days plus a few minutes for survey questions, so 50-55 minutes like they state.

 

Me too, I caught it in on page 3 or 4 on mturk just by accident. I'm expecting at least 10 dollars if not more

Crazy they are only paying .10 for these. I quickly returned the one in my queue when I saw that!

I caught it last night, and screwed up setting the required minimum too high. I can type 60wpm, but the format being captcha-like, there was no way I could knock out 150 words like that. I'm miffed.
